Vlada Aslanov

I started my PhD at the Cognitive Psychology section of the Free University Amsterdam in November 2023 under supervision of Johannes Fahrenfort. I will investigate the neural underpinnings of phenomenological control: the ability to experience the world differently from normal perception by overriding highly automated instances of information processing. My first project investigates at what level of the cortical hierarchy one can interrupt automatic processing using post-hypnotic suggestions.
